Step-by-Step Directions

1. From the top toolbar select file and select New Tab.
2. In the new tab go to www.google.com
3. On the toolbar that goes across the top select a Gmail
4. If it logs into someone else's account, you need to logout, if not it will ask you to sign in
5. Select "create a new account".
6. Create an account for this classroom, your username must be your first name followed by english2. (So if my name is Jon Huston, my username for my class email is jonenglish2)
7. Your password should be your last name followed by the last four digits of your phone number. (If my name is Jon Huston and my number is (973) 266-7300 than my password is huston7300)
8. When you get into you account select More from the top toolbar and scroll down to Blogger.
9. Create a blog for this class name it after yourself or the class. Do not name it after anything inappropriate for the class or you will have to do it again.
10. Once you have selected a theme and created your blog, select the button that says view blog.
11. Copy the URL(the web address of your blog) Highlight it with the mouse, select Edit from the top toolbar and choose Copy.
12. Go to your new Gmail tab and select compose. Write an email to hustonenglish@gmail.com (now you will always have the email for this class) Put English Blog in the spot marked subject.
13. In the Email go to Edit at the top toolbar and Paste your blog's web address into the email.
14. Send the email.
