1. When the scary looking 'trick or treaters' came to their door Claire cowered behind her mother's leg.

Infer: To make an educated guess based on the clues in the text.

  2. No Dee doesn't understand her heritage because she changed her name to Wangero. She also didn't care about who else help make the quilts and that some wheren't made by hand. She also got mad when her mother to decide to give it Maggie. Dee was mad that she couldn't have it and that she ain't have nothing to remember her Grandmother.

  5. No she doesn't appreciate her heritage because she decided to leave her home she seem to be ashshamef of the easy she was raised and she also changed the name that was given to her.

  6. In my opinion i do not feel as though Dee appreciate her heritage, because she was ashamed of her mom and sister. she constantly put them down and she left home the first chance she got.
