“Is competition between individuals necessary
for growth?" Make sure to post your answer to the blog under today's date!
Yes I think competition between individuals is necessary for growth. I say this because when you get older, you will be competing for a job. You will competing against other people who want that spot on the job. Learning how to compete against other individuals is very important in my opinion
ReplyDeleteYes. Competition between individuals is necessary for growth because if you're not good at something you need to challenge yourself to do better. As you challenge yourself between something or someone you get better each time you compete. They're will always be obstacles as you work your way through.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion i do feel as though competition between individuals is necessary, because you get to challenge yourself on a more intellectual level. When you have surpassed the individual it gives you an amazing feeling and your on top of the world.
ReplyDeleteYes competition between individuals is necessary for growth because without competition there is no challenge. And if you are good at something you can't get better because there is no competition .
ReplyDeleteYes competition between idividuals is necessary because without competition your not improving your weekness. Their is more challenge. You have to challenge yourself to be better than your competitors.
ReplyDeleteCompitieon between individuals is highly necessary. It distinguishes the weak from the strong. Helps show people that want to be better than everybody and has the drive and people who are wasting their own time doing things.
ReplyDeleteYes competition between individuals necessary for growth. Competition is the spirit to work more and more in order to achieve success in life. It's like the key to glory. If you weren't competing agaist anyone then you'll think your doing things for no reason and quit. In track you run agaist people; to me i think it pushes me to go ahead of someone and train to win.

ReplyDeleteyes competition without it we are useless its like a battle without a winner and a loser so we need the competition for our growth and push us to the very limit to overcome
ReplyDeleteYes competion individuals is necessary for growth because with competion you are unable to challenge yourself and your skills. If there is no competion there is no way for you to improve. It's natural to try and do better someone to show that you are the better. I always find myself in a competion with a student in class because there's always that one student that thinks they are smarter than me and I have to prove that I'm smarter. Most of the time i may not be smarter than my competitor so it will now motivate me to work harder so I can surpass them. So I think that competion between individuals is necessary for growth.
ReplyDeleteIs Competition Between Individuals Necessary For Growth?
ReplyDeleteAccording to Michael Jordan, a prominent basketball player, you have competition every day because you set such high standards for yourself that you have to go out every day and live up to that. I strongly agree that competition between individuals is essential for growth. Please join me as I discuss this on-going quandary from a social, financial and psychological and technological substantive.
There are many ways in which competitions may take place- whether in schools, business places, research councils, etc., the fact is competition exists. When individuals enter competitions it creates a path for them to develop better sociability skills by meeting new acquaints and building life-long relationships, exchanging ideas and learning about different cultural backgrounds, creating career networks and many more. Competition allows one to be more mature in self - confidence, and that right there is most certainly growth.
Engaging in competitions also provides an avenue for financial growth. According to cnn.com, over $50 billion is given in scholarship to students from all different ethnicities annually who enter competitions (marching bands, economics, debating, technological, etc.). In addition to that, competitions also create various organizations which employ many people. People are being educated, job are being created, is this not growth too?
It is natural human instinct to try and out-do another or out-do something in which someone has done. A basic example would be between the owners of Apple and Samsung, they are always in a competition to see who can develop the best product .Competition challenges one intellectual ability and it differentiates between the determined and the layabouts. As a result, competition is a principal factor in innovation. Once more, is this not growth to you?
In conclusion, it is with great conviction in which I think that competition is important for growth because it enhances social skills, it serves as an avenue for financial growth and it challenges ones intellectual ability.
“Is competition between individuals necessary for growth?"
ReplyDeleteMy answer to this question would be yes. I believe that competition is necessary for growth because it challenges you to do better at a specific sport or hobby . Competition separates the strong from the weak. It molds you and shapes you to become the greatest at what you do. Without competition , you can't improve , you become lazy and lose motivation. It builds character and produces excellence. It is able to make you work harder and strive for success. Everyone can't be a winner. We all use competition in life. We compete for things like a spot for a job or a position for a sport.
These are all great comments. You are all doing an excellent job with highlighting why competition is important, in addition to providing valid examples that follow those conclusions! Keep up the great work!
