ReplyDeleteMaggie is not as smart a her sister Dee, she envys her. She favors her mother, while Dee is the family superstar. Maggie is the shy, homely girl who spends most of her time in the house. The reason is because she envys Dee. Lines 112 to 120 basically explains the way Mama reacts when she sees Dee and about what she is wearing and in the end Maggie lets out a big " Uhnnnh." This shows how much she envys Dee. In conclusion, I found out Maggie is the shy girl with the sister everybody knows and who everybody loves.
